Hourly Driving Lessons in style in a Mini Cooper...

...Hourly Driving Lessons are suitable for the majority of learners. They allow you to learn new skills with your instructor and the have time to practice them. Two hour lessons are now becoming the most common. In two hours you have more time on the ‘subject’ you are being taught. In a single 2 hour lesson you cover more then you would do in two 1 hour lessons. This not only means you can learn faster but it will also save you money in the long run as you wont require as many hours of tuition.

For more information of the difference between 1 and 2 hour lesson click here.

We can offer you 1, 1.5 or 2 hour lesson each week with the option to do more than one lesson a week as and when needed. This option is particularly suited to the student who has gaps in their collage day,

as we can pick you up and the drop you back off at collage.

What subjects will I cover in my hourly lessons?...

...We cover the Driving Standards Agency syllabus and more! We aim to make you a safe and confident driver. The Subjects you will cover are:

Cockpit Drill,  Car controls, Setting off and stopping, Safe Positioning, Clutch Control,  Approaching and turning left and right, Hill Starts, Angled starts, Emerging at T Junctions (left and right), Controlled Stop(Emergency stop!), Effective mirror observations, Correct Signalling, Straight reverse, Turn in the Road, One Way Streets, Pedestrian Crossings, Roundabouts, Left reverse, Parallel Parking, Bay Parking, Meeting traffic, crossing the path of traffic, Progressing, Non Hesitancy, Road Positioning, Dual Carriageways, Overtaking, Eco-Safe Driving, Pro-Social Driving, Defensive Driving, Route Navigation, Commentary driving and Independent driving - in preparation for the changing of the test in October 2010.

How long will it take me to learn to drive?...

...The Driving Standards agency says the average amount of tuition to pass your test first time and drive

safely on the roads is currently 40 hours of tuition with a Driving Instructor and 20 hours of private practice.

If you are having 1x 2 hour lesson a week then it should take you around 20 weeks. If you do

More lessons a week then the time drops (e.g. 2x2 hours is 10 weeks)!
